"I'm not a videographer, but I know how to stand above the noise."
I applied for a marketing and sales internship at Under Amour in the spring of 2012. The application process required a video that illustrated why I would be a great addition to the team. Before filming the video, I strategized how I could best illustrate my strengths, passions, and personality.
I developed a scrolling Twitter page to express my originality and creativity, in which I tweeted my interests, current activities, and involvement at Virginia Tech. Furthermore, I drew a wordle in the shape of the Under Armour logo to share various words that I believed best described the brand. The “Day in the Life” segment showed a unique way of expressing my brand loyalty and passion for Under Armour throughout my everyday lifestyle. Finally, I personally described by why I should be a part of the Under Armour Rookie Future Leaders Internship Team. Although, I did not receive the internship, it provided an outlet to express my creativity, and generate ideas to portray my individuality and marketing skills.
